Its pretty sad that anyone reading that even remotely take it seriously… howeever, the Satirical spin on it actually highlights the very real dangers of misinformed uneducated morons who do buy into UGITS Shmata
What utter rubbish. Brain wash them you mean. If they got away with this what else will they also ban, is this a form of control and brain washing in school. Leave our children and schools alone
I had a tweet from ‘Still Laughing At The UKIP’ saying “It’s increasingly hard to tell spoof from policy with UKIP and the Tories”. A fair point, it seems.
As an illustration of this we now have reports that Michael Gove has demanded that ‘Of Mice and Men’ and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ be removed from the English literature GCSE syllabus:
Gove is very much in favour of free schools. I suspect that this is because he wants free schools to churn out narrow-minded drones who will never question government decisions and will always kiss their bosses’ backsides.
Very amusing but food for thought . Fear of learning is not new and we can see how ignorance in some parts of the world today lead to some horrific practices.
I am often between ignoring those who support the UKIPs of the world and trying to engage, at least some of them, to discover what it is they are truly worried about rather than the red rags of immigration and the EU.
I was under the impression all parties were already doing this. Education standards are certainly falling.
As other posters have said just look at the replies here lol
Utter rubbish.
It is intended to be humorous, I think, while pointing out a serious issue with that party’s thinking.
This must be a send up.No party would ban teaching of children in school.Utter nonsense.
It is a send-up. Did you not see the word ‘Satire?’ at the top of the article?
Tom Pride produces many articles like this and it is a source of constant amazement to me that he keeps getting responses that take them seriously.

Leoni: It’s satire.

Gove is a Victorian fantasist and ultimate closet sadist…
