When is a conspiracy theory NOT a conspiracy theory? When it’s proved, perhaps?

No anti-Semitism here: this shot from Roger Waters’s Berlin concert shows the flying pig (from the cover of the Pink Floyd album ‘Animals’. It is emblazoned with many slogans but not with the Star of David, as liars have claimed. But politicians like Keir Starmer have joined that hate campaign against Mr Waters anyway, despite the fact that this and other claims against him are lies. Why?

This is looking bad for the anti-Semitism fakers.

As we all know by now, a huge amount of effort has been put into accusing the musician Roger Waters of anti-Semitism, because he is a campaigner for universal human rights and for the Palestinian people to be freed from Israeli oppression.

The latest attack is a response to Mr Waters’ comments about the Labour (formerly Tory) MP Christian Wakeford, who made false claims in Parliament that remain (to the best of This Writer’s knowledge) uncorrected.

The screamers have linked it to an anti-Semitic trope that a secret network of Jews control the world by telling politicians what to do. See Dave Rich’s comment below:

And see “habibi”‘s second tweet, here (Twitter threads are arranged in such a way that the previous tweet in the sequence is always provided along with the one you want):

That’s the claim, then. And it must fall because we have clear evidence that lobbyists who outright claim to be representing Jews are indeed telling UK politicians what to do, and politicians are obeying them.

As for the claim that the campaign against Roger Waters is being run by the Israeli government in Tel Aviv, perhaps Mr Waters has his own evidence but this seems significant to me:

The important element here, of course, is that they are influencing these politicians with lies that are obvious to anybody who actually bothers to check.

I made this clear in my article about Starmer’s letter yesterday (Wednesday, June 7).

To me, it seems unreasonable to believe that a barrister as senior as Starmer would not have examined the evidence before joining such a clear hate campaign, so I must conclude that he knows the claims by the Board of Deputies are lies.

But he still joined in. QED.
