Will you march to oppose Trump’s ethnic cleansing plan for Gaza?
US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will “take over” the Gaza Strip and forcibly remove its 1.7 million Palestinian inhabitants.
This would be a war crime and the announcement has infuriated many people and organisations – including the UK’s Palestine Coalition, which has issued the following call to action:
The grotesque statements by US President Donald Trump – that the US will ‘take over’ the Gaza Strip and forcibly remove the Palestinian population of more than 2 million – have exposed the long-standing Israeli plan for ethnic cleansing.
For more than a year, Israel and its supporters have denied that the true aim of the genocidal assault on Gaza has been the destruction of the Palestinian population, and denial of all of their rights including the right to self determination. Backed and supported by the USA for its own imperial interests, that objective is now explicit.
We must act urgently to stop this monstrous plan. This Saturday 8 February we are asking all our supporters to be out mobilising for the 15 February demonstration to the US Embassy.
We need hundreds of thousands to join us on the streets of London on Saturday 15 February for a huge march from Whitehall to the US Embassy to send a clear message to the British government and to Trump – freedom for Palestine, no to ethnic cleansing, stop arming Israel.
The Peace and Justice Project, founded by Jeremy Corbyn, has called for constituents to write to their MPs as well:
International law is clear: the forcible transfer of people is illegal. Trump delivered this shocking statement next to Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who called him “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House.”
We must stand up to this evil plan. Our politicians must take a stand and stop this in its tracks.
Write to your MP today and urge them—and the UK government—to speak out against this plan and uphold international law.
Despite a fragile ceasefire holding in Gaza, we must keep up the pressure on world leaders —including Keir Starmer— to secure a just peace in the Holy Land, with a sovereign, independent Palestinian state.
What are you going to do? Whatever it is, remember the words of Pastor Martin Niemoller and the fact that they may be coming for Palestinians now – but sooner or later it could be you.

I’m all for the protest but I beleive it’s exactly the attention that Trump wants.
The Tangerine Tyrant is trying to run the USA like a Business.
This is clearly designed to cause an uproar and is a form of “Price Conditioning” – something Americans use regularly in sales.
A “Compromise” that’s not so bad will suddenly be announced.
I suspect it’s Southern Gaza and/or the West Bank will be given to Israel as compensation for the Palestinian attacks and the Gas will be split between Israel and the USA.
That is a very interesting comment.
If you’re right, it will still infuriate many influential people.
I wonder how long we’ll have to wait to find out.
