Support Disabled People Against Cuts - to fight disability benefit reductions before you, or someone you know, is affected

Support Disabled People Against Cuts – to fight disability benefit reductions

This is a plea for you to support Disabled People Against Cuts – to fight disability benefit reductions.

The UK government’s planned cuts to social security payments for disabled people are an unjust attack on some of the most vulnerable members of our society.

Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC) is opposing the changes — but needs your help to make all our voices heard.

Why this matters

Disabled people are being scapegoated for government austerity measures, yet the truth is that anyone could become disabled at any point in their life.

If we allow cuts to disability benefits to go ahead, it won’t just harm those who are disabled today — it sets a dangerous precedent for the future of us all.

DPAC is raising funds to help oppose these cuts, but can’t do it without your support.

Many disabled people have worked and paid taxes and National Insurance contributions for years.

Some may never have been able to work, but they should not be punished when the rich continue to get richer without paying their fair share.

Your support makes a difference

DPAC has set up a Crowdfunder to cover the costs of critical campaigns, including:

  • Travel and attendance: Supporting disabled people in attending events, protests, and meetings in Parliament to directly challenge the cuts.

  • Campaign materials: Funding the creation and distribution of materials to spread awareness, educate the public, and rally more support.

  • Activism costs: Ensuring that DPAC has the resources to keep fighting for the rights of disabled people — including legal advice, communications, and more.

If everybody capable of reading this donated just £1, DPAC would quickly raise the £10,000 needed to continue its work. Every contribution — no matter how small — helps to make a difference.

How you can help

  • Donate today: Head to the Crowdfunder page at Tax the Rich, Don’t Rob Disabled People and make a contribution to this vital campaign.

  • Spread the word: Share this message with your friends, family, and social networks. The more people who know about this fight, the stronger the movement becomes.

Together we can stop these cuts

This isn’t just about helping those with disabilities — it’s about fighting for fairness, justice, and a society where everyone is valued.

The fight for disability rights is a fight for all of us.

When we stand together, we can ensure that disabled people are not left behind in the face of political greed.

As DPAC’s Paula Peters says, “This is a fight for all of you. Please support us.”

Join the fight. Stand with disabled people. Tell the government: “Tax the rich; don’t rob disabled people.”
