Why are local authorities allowed to mass large collections of valuable artifacts often totaling millions of pounds. Additionally, why are these authorities not forced to use the vast sums of money held in reserves. My own council is reputed to hold between £80,000,000 and £100,000,000 in reserve and has done for years. Why are these councils not forced to use 75% of these cash reserves to support bedroom tax victims and keep services open? Whilst on this note, how many council leaders have been made redundant as a result of cutbacks? I guess none, why?
Ours lost of vote of ‘no confidence’ on January 9.
