Alarmed by growing support for Corbyn, a right-wing agent acts | Political Concern

What the blazes is this?

Attempting to stamp on democracy is a Tory characteristic – not anything to be associated with Labour.

If this story is accurate, then Luke Akehurst is clearly in the wrong party; he, and anyone who agrees with him, should be politely shown the door and asked to leave.

As the latest totals of constituency Labour Party nominations put Jeremy Corbyn, with 28 nominations, in second place behind Andy Burnham with 33, a ‘Labour First’ email, passed to the Huffington Post, sets out a way of transferring votes between Kendall, Cooper and Burnham to prevent the Islington North MP from winning constituency Labour Party nominations. These are said to ‘offer clues’ to how the four candidates are performing among party members. A spokesman for the Corbyn campaign told HuffPost UK: “Despite starting as very much the underdog, and despite these tactics, Jeremy Corbyn is already proving more successful with CLP nominations than many expected.

The email (text below), which was organised by Labour First Secretary Luke Akehurst, is said to make it clear that the main objective is to stop Corbyn because he would ‘destroy Labour’s chances of electability’.

If Corbyn is NOT elected because of tricks like this, it is this that will destroy the Labour party NOT the democratic will of the CLP, what the hell is Akehurst thinking of? And why is he handing buffoons in the Tory press ammo to blast Labour with? I am totally bewildered at the way Labour is behaving. People need to calm down and remember, that sometimes that which we fight against the most turns out to be the best way forward.

Since Labour lost the election I’ve spoken to many people, Tories as well, they all say one thing in common, Labour has wandered away from its core beliefs, we ignore this at our peril and we allow dirty tricks like this at our peril too!

we want a proper socialist agenda from the Labour party not a tory lite agenda that
Andy Burnham and the other Labour leadership contenders are advocating.
i haven’t voted Labour in the last two general elections, after a lifetime of voting Labour, because this isn’t the party i was brought up to support.

Time to ‘DUMP’ Labour and form a Union Party, we do not need ‘Piggy’ in the middle, wasting Union money, using it to prop -up Tory propaganda. What fool imagines that ‘Business’ would give-up the Tory Corporate Welfare bandwagon for a punt on the dirty unwashed (as they call us). What we need is to screw this so called (mostly bankrupt without our welfare handouts) Business Bulls**t, take back our Energy, Water and all other other Taxpayer (that’s us, the ‘Business plonkers always dodge paying Tax) paid for services… Nationalise the whole Nation and smash the ‘Private chancers’ back into the rats nest they crawled out of, not forgetting to dig up Thatchers, stinking alive and still ponging dead, corpse and hang the Cow on the Walls of the dirty City.
Oh! and hang Harriet Harman with her.

Labour are supposed to be a left wing party, a working class party, not bootlicking the middle and upper classes, they’ve already got a party like that, they’re called the Tory party, stand up and fight for who you’re supposed to, not the privileged elite!
