Blogger adds a few words to Tory ‘Remain’ leaflet. Results are hilarious

Everybody has been up in arms – and quite rightly – about the fact that the Conservative Government has used taxpayers’ money to fund a leaflet supporting the option to remain in the European Union at the EU referendum in June.

It is a matter in which the government should remain neutral because it cannot say it has a mandate to use our money in that way.

Many people have been returning the leaflet to the Conservative Party’s Freepost address.

But the blog Keir Hardie’s Beard had a different idea, described on its Tumblr page as ‘Cards Against Humanity’.

The images that resulted are bitterly amusing. You’ve already seen one – here are the others:

Wasn’t the leaflet just a way to dodge Electoral Commission rules on spending? Not that I’d ever make suggestions the tories favour creative electoral spending.

Brilliant! XD I love Cards Against Humanity, but you need a rather dark sense of humour to enjoy it. :P

So clearly this person favours having no borders and restriction upon immigration,I’ll bet that notion will go down well with those who get to employ people at ever lower real wages or who own Buy to Let property! It never ceases to amaze me that so many people who like to claim they are SOCIALISTS and support the Working Class scream abuse at anyone who actually recognises the harm caused to them by unrestricted mass immigration. So go ahead and campaign against borders, scream at those who oppose immigration that they are Nazis, bigots and racists.Just don’t pretend to be concerned about how much richer the Rich are getting thanks to the steady importation of ever cheaper foreign scab labour because that just doesn’t wash anymore!

No – it doesn’t follow that the Keir Hardie’s Beard blogger has made any comment about his own opinion at all.
The aim seems to have been to pour ridicule on the Tory Government that spent our money on a one-sided propaganda sheet.
Still, I expect you enjoyed that rant.

The most ridiculous thing about all this Brexit thing is we, the British public, never asked for a referendum. It’s a construct of inter-party bickering. What we should be having is a vote on whether we want a referendum. Call a halt to this forced choice, we are being played like a fiddle as usual..

The government are clearly wrong to fund the Remain leaflet, even though I’m of the Remain persuasion. On the other hand, the Outers have the vast resources of Murdoch, that pornographer who runs the Express, then there’s the Barclays and the Telegraph, then there’s the Mail, then assorted big businesses ploughing cash and print into their cause. Perhaps the government leaflet is a mere pecadillo.
