Mumbleminds: Labour and Tories use classic quiz format to attack each other

But have we learnt anything apart from the fact that sometimes people don’t have all the figures at their fingertips?

The Tories kicked off this particular sniping match yesterday (January 23), for no particular reason:

Of course it demanded a reply – which came today, courtesy of EL4JC:

So now we know: Both main political parties consist of people who forget important information at the wrong moment. Gosh.

Of course, what we’re seeing is simply ‘Gotcha’ journalism at its worst. We didn’t learn anything useful in the interviews depicted, but the interviewers got the satisfaction of making the politicians squirm.

Was any other purpose served at all?
