Denied: Charlotte Ormrod.

This is today’s story about the government unjustly denying disability benefit to a claimant – in this case, an 11-year-old girl.

It seems clear that this decision is intended to make life far more difficult for Charlotte Ormrod and her family.

Ministers and staff at the DWP seem to consider her to be another “useless eater”, to quote the propaganda that accompanied the Nazi policy they seem to be trying to follow, albeit in a sneaky, covert way.

The Tories won’t be sending round the Aktion T4 gas van to put this girl out of their misery; This Writer understands they prefer simply to deprive claimants of the means of survival and hope they pass away of their own conditions, or commit suicide.

We know of NHS patients who took their own lives because of lapses in care, apparently caused by Tory cuts.

It’s a quiet genocide of the sick and disabled. Isn’t it?

A mum whose young daughter has a twisted spine and only one fully functioning lung claims her girl has had her benefits stopped because she ‘has some mobility and goes to a mainstream school ‘.

Charlotte Ormrod, 11, has double curvature scoliosis, which means she struggles to walk and relies heavily on a wheelchair.

She also has a deformed hip and ends up in hospital regularly due to a weak immune system.

Since her diagnosis last year, Charlotte has been admitted to hospital 12 times due to problems with her lungs, her mum says.

But following a reassessment by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), Charlotte has been told she’s no longer entitled to Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for her personal care.
