Suspended Labour MP Chris Williamson has received death threats – claim

Chris Williamson: Has he received death threats?

Chris Williamson, the Labour MP who was suspended by his party for expressing concern that it was “too apologetic” when allegations of anti-Semitism were made – too ready to accept such claims as proof of guilt – has received death threats, it has been claimed.

I’ve seen this mentioned twice on Twitter:

https://twitter.com/JoshuaFunnell2/status/1104122359705993224

https://twitter.com/Malfunctionin14/status/1104179016393732096

Mr Williamson has yet to confirm it.

If he does, will those who rushed to condemn alleged death threats against MPs who supported the anti-Semitism witch-hunt speak out against these threats to another colleague’s life?

When you apologise, you are accepting that the accusations are true.

Therefore, never apologise for accusations that aren’t true, or whose truth has yet to be investigated.

The central point of Chris Williamson’s ‘too apologetic over accusations of antisemitism’ is valid.

The more so as most of the allegations are formally undecidable as they relate to rhetorical intent.

This country has gone mad. Since Brexit, it seems like a free for all. Knives, Death threats suspensions for nothing more than what you think.

He should have defended what he said rather than apologise for it.

    From the above article:

‘Corbyn has repeatedly said he is tackling antisemitism in Labour. But Hodge wants to see more dramatic action, such as closing down branches that refuse to accept the scale of the problem and making a promise that George Galloway will never be readmitted.’

‘Closing down branches that refuse to accept the scale of the problem’

Joe McCarthy would be proud of Hodge.

And what has Galloway got to do with it?

Answer: Nothing. Galloway may be many things but he is certainly not anti-Semitic.

I strongly disagree with him on EU and Scottish independence etc.

The witch hunt rolls on. And I am sick and tired of Hodge claiming that she fought the BNP when she did so much to help them. No ‘interviewer’ ever challenges her on this
