Two-faced yellow Tory Swinson shamed over Twitter claim
Either Jo Swinson is really stupid or she thinks we are.
That can be the only explanation for her latest foray onto Twitter.
In it, she tries to take credit for the alliance of opposition parties that came together to fight Dictator Johnson’s “no deal” Brexit plan, earlier this week.
And she tries to say the Liberal Democrats will take the lead in further developments:
Today I’ve met with MPs from all parties who want to stop both a disastrous No Deal and an anti-democratic shut-down of Parliament. We will keep working together to prevent it. And then, the @LibDems will continue to lead the fight to stop Brexit altogether. pic.twitter.com/5HKis0go6Z

What a liar!
And this time she doesn’t need me to call her out on it:
You grudgingly met with the MP's. Your dithering is what has enabled Boris to do what he's doing, suspending parliament to suit his own agenda. 😡🤬🤦♀️

You are unbelievable. You had to be dragged there kicking and screaming.
Just this one post shows just how duplicitous you are— Pete Whyte. Looking for a socialist home (@FarmerFunky) August 28, 2019
The vilification goes on and on.
Now, perhaps you may think it unwise to point out this woman’s shortcomings in this way, especially as she is the leader of one of the main UK political parties (albeit with few representatives in Parliament at the moment).
She may decide to spit in all our faces and support Dictator Johnson’s “no deal” Brexit in response.
But that would only show her up as even more of a fool than she has made herself here.
Her reluctance to support Jeremy Corbyn’s attempts to stop “no deal” Brexit have already caused severe unrest among her party’s support base, much of which only voted Liberal Democrat as a protest against leaving the European Union.
If she doesn’t get behind him, now that Dictator Johnson has enacted his plan to halt Parliamentary democracy and deny MPs the chance to stop his disastrous Brexit, they will abandon her in their thousands.
It could mean the end of the Liberal Democrats as a Westminster political party.
So it will be interesting to see how she answers this question:

You can see when this was tweeted. There has been no response by the time I’m writing this.
Maybe that’s her answer.

So far we have the end of:
a) democracy
b) the monarchy
c) the Fib-Dems
And it’s not even Friday! A week is indeed a long time in politics.
Unbelievable! It’s Jeremy Corbyn who is leading the fight to stop Boris and it’s her Swinson who is sabotaging his attempt.
This woman has no authority to talk about democracy.
the attempted coup by Swinson was doomed to failure it is undemocratic adits only intent was to deny the sovereignty of the people.
I think BJ is giving parliament little time to debate so he can bring back T May’s deal with maybe a little tweaking but not much, so they will all vote for it in the fear that there will be a hard brexit instead if they don’t. I think he’s doing a bluff tactic. The only other conclusion is that he is a dictator & just wants to be boss at whatever cost, with no EU to interfere.
I ‘d say its the former Mike, how a half wit like this got to be head of a once serious political party is beyond me. David
Unless she changes her mind then a vote of confidence will be pointless. And I feel that this IS coming from her personally, not her party. A short term agreement does not mean you ‘support’ Corbyn and no one would’ve inferred it.
However, ALL of this would be more palatable if ANY of the parties involved had a plan to democratically get us out of this, sadly they don’t. NB I mean REAL plans that would work and would be democratic…
Some parliamentarians believe in what they say in order to garner support or applause, others simply say what they believe will garner support or applause. In the case of Jo Swinson there is no need to ponder which of the aforementioned applies to her.
The Libdems had their chance to show us their true colours once before – they were yellow then and nothing much has changed.
