Tory MP’s wife breaks lockdown for birthday party
More Tories are being shown up as believing that the Covid-19 lockdown only applies to the rest of us and not to them.
Rob Roberts, Tory MP for Delyn, turns out to be a rotten decision-maker, it seems.
Earlier this week, he spoke up in support of Dominic Cummings after Boris Johnson’s chief advisor admitted breaking the lockdown for no good reason and breaking the law by driving while in no condition to do so.
Now, as a gay man, he may be regretting getting married (to a woman) after she decided to break lockdown rules to hold a 40th birthday party in their Mold house.
One can only sympathise for the people in his North Wales constituency, who have to put up with another four and a half years of being represented by this goon.
As for these Tories: an unsympathetic person might suggest that we let them carry on, and if they catch Covid-19 that’s just too bad. But they would only burden our NHS, making themselves even more trouble than they are worth.
Police broke up an illegal lockdown bank holiday Monday birthday party at the house of a Tory MP.
Two people who were visiting the house of Rob Roberts, MP for Delyn in North Wales, were asked to leave.
There were balloons and banners outside the house marking a 40th birthday.
It is understood that Mr Roberts’ wife Alexandra turned 40 on Monday.
There has been no lifting of the lockdown rules in Wales where – as in England – you are not allowed to visit other households.
A spokesperson for Mr Roberts said: “Rob Roberts was not present at the time.
“His family have been reminded of the guidelines set out by the government.”
