Was ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ really meant to help super-rich Tories get cheap meals at the taxpayer’s expense?

Nadhim Zahawi: this image from a few years ago highlighted his choice to strip people with disabilities of much-needed benefits while guzzling taxpayers’ money in expenses claims. Now fat Nadhim is using our money to guzzle cheap restaurant meals too.

It seems the chief beneficiaries of Rishi Sunak’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme are… his fellow Conservative MPs.

Here’s a tweet from multi-millionaire Jeremy Hunt, confirming that he has been using public money to subsidise a meal:

For all we know, he may have claimed the rest of the cost on expenses…

Also vowing to take full advantage of the public – I mean, public money being put up for the scheme – was another Tory multi-millionaire, Nadhim Zahawi, who told BBC Breakfast:

“I’m looking forward to going out and using the Eat Out to Help Out scheme to make sure me and my family enjoy a nice meal over those few days.”

Asked if he will be having a half price meal, Mr Zahawi said: “I’ll be going out and helping those restaurants in Stratford-on-Avon, in London, wherever I can, of course. I think it’s the right thing to do.”

Asked if he could choose to pay full price, he replied: “Well… It’s worth all of us going out and if the Government is supporting the sector, why not?”

It’s exactly as some of us predicted – while poor people starve under the privations forced on them by the Tories’ ridiculous Covid-19 policies, the super-rich are stuffing themselves silly and charging it to the taxpayer.

Yesterday it was Therese Coffey bragging on Twitter about having enjoyed a slap-up half-price lunch at The Dolphin Inn. My own lunch yesterday consisted of two out-of-date crumpets that the foodbank were going to throw away. Today I haven’t had any lunch.

Guess who the real scroungers and con-artists are? Nope not impoverished women and men who are constantly demonised as ‘scroungers’ by the greedy profit driven fascist tories, but multi millionaires such as fascist Jeremy Hunt and his male crony Nadhim Zahaw!!

And all the other greedy fascist tory ministers who will delight in saving money at our expense! All those wealthy fascist tories can easily afford to pay the full price for their ‘lavish meals’ and ensure the struggling restaurants do receive some profits!!

Remember the word ‘lavish’ because it was used by another fascist tory minister when he declared us peasants would not be able to go and enjoy ‘lavish holidays’ due to coronavirus! As if us peasants can even afford ‘lavish holidays’ unlike lardy fascist dictator boris who scrounged a free holiday from one of his multi-billionaire male cronies! And remember lardy fascist dictator boris enjoyed a luxury lavish holiday in the Carribean!!

It really is quite a picture that I have in my mind, Someone walking down the road heading for the foodbank being passed by a flash car with his MP in it.
The MP looks at him thinking “scrounger” whilst driving his fully expensed car to a posh restaurant for a slap-up meal courtesy of the state.
He returns to his heavily subsidised home, watching TV for free courtesy of the state.(I could go on but you get the general idea)

    Who is the real scrounger?

Well I haven’t been on holiday since the 1980s and I rarely go out for a meal, I certainly won’t be going to pubs and restaurants during a pandemic, discount or no discount! I know plenty of people who can’t afford to go even if they wanted to. This is definitely of more benefit to those who could already afford it .
