50,000 dead overall, 33,000 infections IN ONE DAY – and the news is all about Dominic Cummings
It seems there is a national media agenda to pull the wool over our eyes.
Covid-19 reached a new height in the UK yesterday. The country became the first in Europe to record more than 50,000 official (remember that) deaths…
Utterly devastating, shocking, heartbreaking, gut wrenching indictment to our governments shameful incompetence and failure. Unbearable https://t.co/Y2N7Ypc55S

(Oh, and by the way…)
44,304 of those 50,000 souls were residing in England – Spaffer et al have really handled this virus well haven't they. pic.twitter.com/t2SzVdxlqN

Those official figures also show that 33,470 new cases of the virus were recorded, compared with 22,950 on Wednesday…
Official figures show the UK has recorded a further 33,470 daily cases of coronavirus compared to 22,950 yesterday

Number of new UK coronavirus cases hits 33,470 – the highest daily figure recorded in the country since the outbreak began https://t.co/7JlcIumkPx

And the number of fatalities in a single day has reached 595:
BREAKING: The UK becomes first country in Europe to surpass 50,000 covid-19 deaths, with 595 new fatalities reported.
A shocking & sobering milestone that shames Britain & exposes – again – our Government's woeful mishandling of this crisis.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 11, 2020
Meanwhile the test-and-trace fiasco continues unabated:
124,000 close contacts not traced this week. This is not ok.
The government are letting the time in lockdown slip away without fixing contact tracing.
Stop with the outsourcing and hand more control and support to our local communities. https://t.co/n5kXs6YENf

And plans to immunise us all against Covid, using the new vaccine, mean some of us won’t get our shots for another 36 years:
I don't want to worry you, but at this rate it will take 13,400 days to immunise us all, which is slightly more than 36 years pic.twitter.com/tgT0ynrmb7

And what’s the headline on the news?
Pressure on Boris Johnson to ditch or sideline Dominic Cummings in wake of resignation of key ally https://t.co/fPUm9BTtMG
— The Independent (@Independent) November 12, 2020
What’s going on? Why are the news media blithering about soap-opera shenanigans in Downing Street rather than telling us what we need to know about the virus that is raging through the UK like wildfire?
More than 50,000 Covid deaths & over 500 yesterday but Number 10 is more interested in infighting at the top of Johnson’s Tory party. To the cost of our country this a Prime Minister and government increasingly demonstrating they are not worthy of office.

The headlines today should be about 50,000 UK covid deaths, the worst in Europe, not a bunch of puffed-up baldie bully-boys at No10 who’ve presided over an absolute fiasco of shockingly bad Government in this crisis.

2,600+ Coronavirus deaths announced in the UK this week
The episode of EastEnders currently playing out in No. 10 Downing Street is an insult to the pain of the victories & a betrayal of the memories of those departed.
These are dystopian times.

(I think he means the pain of the victims. Spellchecker can be a burden.)
The question is, are we all being distracted from the horror of the virus and the failure to cope with it by Boris Johnson and his fellow incompetents?
If so, it isn’t working.
Do they really think we’re so stupid we haven’t realised what is happening on our own streets?

For me, this has been a longstanding problem, throughout this crisis; the media have been focusing on the wrong things and encouraging non-compliance. Ultimately, it is we who can make the difference, with our behaviour. The vaccine news is great but there is still NO CURE! This is the message that needs to cut through. Behavioural change. We can blame everybody we like but the power lies with us. I wish that people would forget about Dominic Cummings!
Have a look at MSM today (Friday 13th Nov) and it continues.
Actual figure of Covid cases is around 27,000 (figures from Government website) but only mention is about the “R” number heading down and numbers stabilising.
There is a deliberate avoidance of the daily figure.
Cummings and the Yorkshire Ripper are apparently what we want to read about.
This is sheer propoganda.
