Cummings is out of Downing Street – but what does it actually mean?
Many will be saying Boris Johnson will have to take responsibility for his own cock-ups from now on – but will he?
Johnson has had the benefit of a lot of media belief that he’s the monkey to Dominic Cummings’s organ grinder, ever since he moved into Downing Street in July 2019.
Now, with Cummings moving out of Downing Street “to clear the air”, he won’t have that excuse – even if it is still applicable.
You see, Cummings may have left his official role but this just means we don’t know what he will be doing, who he’ll be doing it with, or how much influence he may continue to wield.
And it is entirely possible, of course, that the whole story about Cummings being the secret mastermind was just a blind, and the Johnson government will continue self-combusting, as it has been ever since that fateful July 2019 day.
I see some journalists are going with the ‘Boris Johnson is really a lovely liberal guy, and once he’s out from under the baleful eye of Cummings he’ll show us how nice he is’ line.
Give me strength.

Time will tell.
But it seems clear that the future under Johnson’s Tories holds just two possibilities:
- Life in the UK will stay as bad as it is now.
- Life in the UK will get much, much worse.
Have to admit, I'm not celebrating #Cummings as much as I expected. Sure, its nice when the arsonist goes away, but it doesn't matter much if he's already burned your village to the ground.

But apart from screwing up Brexit, buggering up the civil service, undermining public health and trust in science and in government, encouraging eugenicists and white supremacists, what has Dominic Cummings ever done for Britain?

For now I think it is okay to sympathise with all those who are celebrating with a few choruses of “The witch is dead”…
But I think we have to temper that sympathy with a clear understanding that the UK is not out of the woods yet – by a very long way.

I’m hoping that he now moves away from the whole No Deal mentality, and starts getting serious about the agreement he made months ago, as well as trying to keep the free trade agreement we had as EU members. I have no trust in him whatsoever, and hope he is replaced by someone more moderate next year, but without Cummings, he might remember that half the country never wanted us to break all ties.
Yet another ‘dead cat’ story perhaps? (And yet again apologies to cats and cat lovers). Everyone focusing on this instead of their handling of Brexit and Coronavirus? And yes, how easy would it be for him to carry on out of the limelight?
He’ll just get some other ultra right wing “advisor” because it suits his agenda.
Dumb fascist arrogant johnson has never taken responsibility for any of his actions and so it continues. ‘The king is dead long live the king!’ Cummings is a convenient scapegoat and fascist tory rule will continue as before because dumb fascist johnson will find another convenient scapegoat to blame for all his criminal acts!
Mainstream media is stupid in believing all the crimes are Cummings’ responsibility and remember Hitler too purged his party after he gained political power and what happened? it got far far worse!
We can be certain of one thing and that is the greedy fascist tories will continue to amass even more wealth because they will continue stealing our public money and awarding this to their male corporate cronies as well as enriching themselves!
As regards dumb fascist johnson remember the water cannon he bought and that stupid garden bridge!! Enormous sums of Londoners’ money were wasted by johnson and did he take responsibility??? Well pigs will fly before arrogant egoist johnson admits he isn’t fit to be a politician let alone a fake leader!
The majority seem to blame Cummings but it’s the gross Tory party that are culling the stock through benefits denial how many bloody deaths not you usual figure off dep but alas it’s more like 300000 now how many nah many will say rubbish but ask your self were is that man woman you saw regularly gone through their benefits denial Cummings was just a small part but on universal credit goes sanctions are part of RTU IDs stick to beat you with
