Covid-19: 80,000 deaths, you say? No: 95,000
Disinformation: the UK’s Tory government wants us to think there have not been as many deaths related to Covid-19 as is in fact the case. The virus is connected with nearly 100,000 deaths now – almost one-quarter more than the official figure suggests.
The official Covid-19 death toll passed 80,000 on Saturday (January 9) – and that is genuine cause for desolation:
On Christmas Day, the official UK coronavirus death toll passed 70,000. Today, it has passed 80,000. 10,000 lives lost in just over two weeks. A truly horrifying statistic. Please take this lockdown seriously, we are all responsible for helping to bring this under control

But of course the official figure does not include many Covid-related deaths, as Professor Kailash Chand makes clear:

We are a lot closer to the landmark failure represented by 100,000 deaths than the UK government wants anybody to think.

Appalling fascist tory government responsible for more than 95,000 deaths because they continue to refuse to implement a real and specialist approach to the Coronavirus pandemic! Hey little fascist dictator dick johnson what’s happened to your marvelous track and trace scheme? It isn’t working is the answer because private companies are responsible and their sole specialty is increasing profits not curtailing a pandemic!
Add on the fact fascist tories cynically refuse to provide sufficient vaccines to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland because these are devolved countries and not under the fascist control of the tories! Then there’s the issue of thousands and thousands of tory supporters now having to claim universal credit and suffer the same poverty as thousands and thousands of other supposedly ‘benefit scroungers!’
Remember little fascist dictator dick johnson and his fascist tory boys were told back in September there would be a second wave and it would be far far worse than the first one and what did dick johnson do? Nothing is the answer! So all we can expect from the fascist tory government is more deaths and the fascist tory mantra of ‘protect the NHS’ because lives are irrelevant – and deflection from the real issue is fascist tories only response!
We peasants can only look forward to the pandemic increasing and it won’t end by 2025 at the earliest! What can we do – other than rebel and protest which means the fascist tory boys’ puppet police will rush to arrest and imprison us! This is the reality of little england living under the fascist tory dictatorship!
This is how Johnston and his cronies try to make the English NHS look better than those of the devolved governments. They only count people where the actual cause of death is down to covid-19, whereas in Scotland (I don’t know about Wales of NI), we count every death that has covid-19 mentioned on the death certificate, even if not the primary cause of death. They are experts at skewing figures, particularly when they continually refer to UK figures to hide how bad the English ones are.
