Tory Hunt’s argument to block refugees is WRONG. Will the Tories really use it to change the law?
Border Force: if it has to enforce a new law blocking legitimate ways for refugees to come into the UK, won’t it be creating a market for people-traffickers?
Take a look at the following clip, from the July 6 edition of BBC2’s Politics Live.
The antagonists are left-wing social media presenter Ash Sarkar and Tory MP Tom Hunt, and they’re discussing plans by the Johnson Tory government to block ways in which refugees can come to the UK.

She puts forward common sense points about the reasons people would want to come to the UK after leaving a home country where they may be in danger – and points out that cutting off legitimate ways of entry will send more folk to the people-traffickers.
He repeats the oft-debunked – untrue – claim that refugees must settle in the first safe country they enter – and blusters. A lot.
As I stated on Twitter: “You can sympathise with every adult woman trying to reason with a little boy having a tantrum, can’t you?”
The concern is that it is Hunt who is in a position to make a new UK law on refugees.
On this evidence, it will be prejudiced – if not downright racist.

Of course it’s not racist. Exactly how many refugees should the UK accept as asylum seekers? iI you contend that there should be no cap on the number we accept, then it makes sense (although you haven’t suggested it) for the Government to fly UK representatives to every “war torn” country and fly all those who would like to claim asylum in the UK straight here, thereby avoiding the dangerous crossing of the English Channel. This way the refugees would save the money they would have paid to the ‘traffickers’ in France. The EU was responsible for every migrant/refugee drowning after Merkel’s notorious and mindless blanket invitation to migrants to move to the EU. I was able to work that out (article in Western Daily Press) and so was Professor Hans Rosling, co founder of Medicins Sans Frontieres, who outlined the tragedy in his book “Factfulness”. Thank heavens we’ve left a construct that can serve migrants so badly
Fascist tories will create new laws criminalising anyone who attempts to enter the UK as a refugee!! Furthermore the fascist tories will send these women, children and men to a deserted island because this is how the fascist tories view refugees – as dispensable non-humans!
Fascist tories know they have the support of xenophobic and racist voters (who are also viewed as disposable peasants by the fascist tories) so don’t expect any challenge to this latest crime being proposed by the murderous cruel and indifferent fascist tories!
Little England must kept pure from any refugees daring to enter this mythical paradise!
