#KeirStarmer tells #Tories to oust #BorisJohnson – but is planning to support him on #PlanB. Contradiction?
Is this the “forensic” politics that Keir Starmer is supposed to practise?
It strikes me as being weird and chaotic and opportunistic.
On one hand, he’s telling the Tories that they should force Boris Johnson out of office * because he’s no damn good.
But on the other, he’s telling the Tories that he won’t help them force him out of office because he’ll be supporting Johnson’s Covid-19 ‘Plan B’ when they won’t.
To This Writer’s way of thinking, the only message the Tories can take from that is not to do anything that helps Keir Starmer!
He’ll do more harm to his own cause than anybody else could.
*He also said Johnson was a risk to public health. Has he been reading Vox Political?
