Nazanin’s calm criticism makes nonsense of boasts by Johnson and his government
Home at last: Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has, quietly and with dignity, made nonsense of claims by Boris Johnson and his government that they worked tirelessly to free her.
A newspaper reporter on the BBC’s Politics Live tried to say current foreign secretary Liz Truss was to be praised for achieving the release, but we all know her actions were not even slightly motivated by concern for Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe.
Truss paid a £400 million debt the UK owed Iran in the hope that it would win a deal for cheap fossil fuels to alleviate the cost-of-living crisis her government has forced on its fellow citizens.
Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s calm comments on the way she was mistreated by UK foreign secretaries – including Truss and current prime minister Boris Johnson – should act like daggers in the heart of the Tory government:
'Richard said to thank the foreign secretary. I do not really agree with him on that level… What's happened now should have happened six years ago'

Why do tax payers have to make financial contributions to run the Foreign Office, pay the Foreign Secretary’s inflated salary and expenses, the cost of running a Diplomatic Service all of which have been hapless and hopeless in representing a British citizen who was clearly seized unlawfully by a foreign government in order to be reimbursed for an astronomic cost incurred by the UK government. Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe conducted herself with dignity and displayed to the political YOBS how to behave. She has many reasons to vent her feelings particular against B.J. when he was Foreign Secretary he well and truly “Cocked things up” inviting the Iranian authorities to extend Nazanin’s incarceration. If a member of the Iranian government had behaved like BoJo he/she would probably lost more than dignity, more likely to be their heads. The Foreign Office closed down as it is pointless having a Service that fails its citizens.
A fascist tory puppet has already responded to Ms. Zaghari-Ratcliffe criticism of five stupid Foreign Secretaries who all failed in their job remits!
This fascist tory had a melt down because how dare Ms. Zaghari-Ratcliffe criticise the ‘godly and superior fascist tories!’ He told her to be ‘grateful’ for the fascist tories ‘rescuing her from prison!’

News flash Bannerman if your fascist tories had paid the debt to Iran then Ms. Zaghari-Ratcliffe would not have been imprisoned by the Iranians!
