Putin arrest warrant issued; warrants for Blair and Bush might be more successful
Vladimir Putin: if he ever did go on the run, he might look like this – especially if he didn’t have time to grab a shirt.
Here’s a redundant threat:
The international criminal court (ICC) in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for overseeing the abduction of Ukrainian children, sending Russia another significant step on the path to becoming a pariah state.
In granting the request for warrants by the ICC prosecutor, a panel of judges agreed that there were “reasonable grounds” to believe Putin and his children’s rights commissioner, Maria Alekseyevna Lvova-Belova, bore responsibility for the “unlawful deportation” of Ukrainian children.
The warrants are the first to be issued by the ICC for crimes committed in the Ukraine war, and it is one of the rare occasions when the court has issued a warrant for a sitting head of state
How does the ICC expect to deliver that warrant and have the arrest made?
Vladimir Putin is the head of the Russian state and, despite its losses in Ukraine, that country’s armed forces remain formidable – not to mention its nuclear arsenal.
He has no reason to honour the warrant and there is no possibility of him facing justice for his alleged crimes.
Some think the ICC should concentrate on more achievable aims:
The International Criminal Court today issues an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin for his war crimes in Ukraine.
A good decision that should have been taken years ago. Can we think of any other international leaders who are deserving of arrest warrants for The Hague?

Yawn there is zero chance Tony Blair will ever get charged with anything. Complaining that the court has a open arrest warrant that can and will be served on him and then he will be taken to the Hague is a good thing. If for instance he nips over to Switzerland for medical treatment again.
So I really fail to see your argument here, better to have that warrant ready for a scumbag that is trafficking Kids FFS to do god’s know what with. The only way these scum ever get stopped is by standing up to the idiot and saying NO. We will not just let you get away with whatever you like there are no consequences!
This argument well he has Nuclear weapon’s!!! Scary, yes he does an small amount that has little to no maintenance and therefore are mostly duds. Useless like over half of his long range missiles were found to be viable and that’s if they will even take off let alone explode. If they are not routinely maintained then stuff like the vital radioactive gas will be useless without that it’s a small bomb no more, no less. That’s if it will even explode hell the impact will do more damage
Heck some of his missile silo’s have been found full of water and rusting real scarry!!! Anyone that stupid that won’t pay for proper maintenance meaning most of these weapons are only good for show. Most of his high Teck military toys like the latest generation of fighters he has a tiny amount of in reality and he is terrified of lousing them. If his people have less than the required minimum training to even use effectively see a pattern? Were Told this is a huge war machine be scared but the reality is vastly different.
His huge military budget is most swallowed up by the huge corruption issue that effects the whole economy and country it’s that endemic. Hell he doesn’t even actually pay most of his solders! Half his so called Army is only on paper. Why do you think he has to pay Merks to help in Ukraine.
So no I am not scared of Russia or Putin he is just another 3rd world dictator that is made out to be so much more than he is in reality! Just another petty thug, that is on the take to his Swiss bank accounts. While his country slowly falls apart. So the warrant is a good thing and he will be worried! Even while he tells the whole world how strong and scary he is…
