Tories are starving the poor to fund Inheritance Tax cut for the rich
The New Year may be just around the corner but the Tories are the same as they ever were.
At the moment, they’re busy at their usual wheeze – robbing the poor to pay the rich.
Here’s the lowdown:
The Conservatives are considering scrapping inheritance tax which brings in £6.1bn a year.
82% of inheritance tax is paid by people with estates worth £1m or more. (2020-2021)
This is another millionaires tax break.

And how is this tax break for millionaires being funded? Here:
Jeremy Hunt is cutting every single benefit, including working, child, tax and pension credits.
To fund inheritance tax cuts for the rich.
Jeremy Hunt will save £6,000,000+
Rishi Sunak will save £282,000,00096% will save nothing at all.

Finally, it seems strange that this tax break is needed, if the plan is to help the rich. Hugh Grosvenor didn’t need it because he hid his money in trusts:
Hugh Grosvenor Duke of Westminster owns these entire highlighted areas of London worth £9bn, dwarfing Buckingham Palace in size and wealth.
But he didn't pay a penny of Inheritance Tax by using Trusts.

Logically, if the Tory government was interested in equality of opportunity, it would be ensuring that people like Mr Grosvenor couldn’t dodge Inheritance Tax and had to pay up.
So this is all about making the poor poorer and the rich richer.
That’s not acceptable in a society that is supposed to be enlightened.
