Annie Lennox demands ‘ceasefire’ and ‘peace in the world’ in Grammys plea
This Site stands in support of singer Annie Lennox, who made a heartfelt plea for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza – during an ‘in memoriam’ performance for musicians who passed away over the last year at the Grammy Awards.
After performing Nothing Compares 2 U in tribute to Sinead O’Connor, who was among those who passed last year, she raised one hand in a fist and announced: “Artists for ceasefire. Peace in the world.”

According to The Independent,
Her call comes days more than 10,000 pro-Palestine supporters marched through central London calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, in the first such demonstration since the UN’s top court ordered Israel to ensure it does not commit acts of genocide.
Ms Lennox’s support for peace between Israel and Palestine can be witnessed by viewing her ‘X’ account – for example, she retweeted this:
How many atrocities will it take before you call for an immediate and permanent #CeasefireNOW? Civilians should never be the target❌

We need more people like Annie Lennox (and Melissa Barrera, as reported here yesterday), who are prepared to face down possible censure by bloodthirsty cheerleaders for Israel’s genocide and demand what the vast majority of people in the world really want:
PEACE.
