Suspended! Tories make right choice with Anderson. What about Braverman and Truss?
No sooner did I publish the piece about Lee Anderson’s Islamophobic comments about Sadiq Khan and London than I discovered that the Conservative Party has suspended his membership over it.
Great! But now everybody’s asking the obvious question:
30p Lee Anderson has been suspended from the Conservative Party for his outrageous Islamophobia which he refused to apologise for.
Now it is time to do Liz Truss and Suella Braverman. pic.twitter.com/yRRvUMJyDk

BREAKING:
"Following his refusal to apologise for comments made yesterday, the Chief Whip has suspended the @CONservatives whip from Lee Anderson MP."
Good. He should be expelled from the party. Now do @SuellaBraverman.

If 30p Lee is suspended, why not Braverman? The same message. The same effect.

30p Lee Anderson suspended from Tory party over Sadiq Khan comments.
Anderson was a useful idiot for deflecting attention from Tory failures – economy, NHS, schools, poverty…
Good riddance and also a sign that Tories will move to the far right and oblivion.

30p Lee Anderson has now been suspended by his local Labour Party and the Parliamentary Conservative Party. He also failed in his bid to become a Labour district council candidate after allegedly making sexist comments in his interview. It must be some sort of record. What a tw@.

It is very difficult to comprehend why Suella Braverman and Liz Truss haven't also been suspended alongside Lee Anderson. pic.twitter.com/AC3c6LgFjW

Note: the media are still distorting the facts:
No. Lee Anderson made racist, Islamophobic remarks about Khan and London. He was suspended for refusing to apologise for them.
No such action has been taken against Braverman who made similar remarks the day before. You can’t call yourself ‘News’ and mislead like this. https://t.co/HsUK6J1D6c

It is not that long ago that Anderson was a Labour councillor.
