Charlotte Church charms the country at National March for Palestine

Here’s somebody who can do no wrong, it seems.

This Writer has been a big fan of Charlotte Church ever since she first got involved in politics, and it is no surprise to me that she is on the right side of history again.

On Saturday (March 9), she joined the National March for Palestine – alongside a quarter of million other people, by the way; don’t believe anyone who suggests it was fewer than that – and charmed the masses with her audience-participation tribute to the women of Palestine:

Afterwards, she spoke movingly and straightforwardly about why so many people came out – and they’ll continue doing it – to demand peace:

She also spoke to Novara Media about why she felt the need to be a part of this movement, despite the threat of being labelled as an anti-Semite (or worse):

Of course, she was right about being labelled:

The question for you is, who would you prefer to be identified with – the bloodthirsty warmongers who have nothing to say other than to resort to name-calling, or the woman who says this:

Who would you choose?

The event had been overshadowed, in the days leading up to it, by concerns raised by politicians of every colour that it would be a chance for anti-Semites to turn London into a “no-go” zone for Jewish people.

Here’s one such politician – and here’s Ms Church with a reasonable response (the clip’s creator has also edited in her performance, as you’ve already seen above):

Her words have been borne out by others, including Sky‘s Jason Farrell:

Even David Baddiel agreed on this:

There is no reason to believe London becomes anything like a “no-go” zone for Jewish people when so many of them take part in the demonstrations. Here’s Just Jews:

And here are everybody else, behaving perfectly peacefully:

Perhaps this is the best message to close the article:

“In our thousands, in our millions, we are all Palestinians.” As an expression of intent, that is a message that should make the likes of Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer think again. But will it?
