The princess, the PM, and the message that should anger millions
Some people.
After Catherine, Princess of Wales, published a video speech regarding preventative treatment for cancer, Rishi Sunak had to stick his oar in.
He presumptuously stated that the princess “has the love and support of the whole country”, adding that “I know I speak for the whole country” in saying so.
Let’s be clear that the problem with that does not lie with wishing a swift recovery to someone who is ill.
The issue here is that an unelected prime minister who would treat Catherine completely differently if she was not a member of an elite group in UK society has presumed to tell us that we all support this exceptional treatment for her, while his government demonises everybody else:
Oh fuck off. If she was in a minimum wage job you'd demonise her, withhold benefits and make sure she was declared fit for work. https://t.co/lCJeZKEjyk

What a hypocrite Rishi Sunak is. I hope sick and disabled benefit claimants contact the news media en masse to remind the nation of what he’s really inflicted on them.
