Does Iran not have the right to defend itself?

Does Iran not have the right to defend itself?

Why is ‘Genocide Joe’ promising full support to Israel after Israel attacked Iran’s consulate in Syria?

Does Iran not have the right to defend itself against an act of war by an aggressive foreign power?

Iran has blamed Israel for an airstrike on its consulate in Damascus on April 1.

It seems that country doesn’t have the military capability to launch a direct, sustained retaliatory strike on Israel – possibly because it doesn’t have a military budget of £270 billion – or thereabouts – as Israel does.

So the smart money says Iran will retaliate by proxy – either through Hezbollah in Lebanon attacking an Israeli consulate building or via a cyber-attack.

And why not? Remember: after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 last year, Biden and any number of politicians internationall – including the UK’s Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer – were falling over each other to say Israel had the right to defend itself. Doesn’t Iran have the right to defend itself too?

US President Joe Biden – ‘Genocide Joe’ – is promising full support to one of the combatants – the wrong one.

Rather than siding with the victim of the attack – Iran – he has promised “ironclad” support to the aggressor – Israel.

According to the BBC, he said,

Our commitment to Israel’s security against these threats from Iran and its proxies is ironclad. Let me say it again: ironclad.

In that case, he’s on the wrong side.
