Rishi Sunak has also promised a new law to evict repeat offenders from social housing after three verified instances of anti-social behaviour – like noise disturbance, vandalism, and other forms of harassment.
On the face of it, this may seem like a good idea to improve neighbourhood safety – but isn’t it just another “bread and circuses” distraction tactic?

Instead of focusing on policies that will improve all our lives, the Tories want to attack a minority of people, to make the rest of us feel better about ourselves.
No matter how much that minority may deserve a clampdown, there are better things for our politicians to be discussing.
Instead, they’re wasting our time.
