This exchange shows why the Tories must be ousted from government before they can help Israel finish its genocide in Gaza.

Zac Goldsmith, a former Tory MP for Richmond Park and failed London Mayoral candidate who now sits in the House of Lords for no very good reason, apparently wanted an excuse to claim that the genocide isn’t actually happening.

So he trotted out the following – only to receive a devastating reply:

Erm…. so you’re saying that every German soldier killed during WWII proved there was no holocaust?
I mean, that is the logical conclusion – right?

Dr Deck Peters is right and Goldsmith’s logic is faulty.

Israel could certainly keep its troops out of Gaza and carpet-bomb the place – but doesn’t Hamas still have hostages that Israel are, even if only half-heartedly, trying to rescue?

And – if a military power is trying to carry out a genocide – wouldn’t it put troops on the ground to make sure all the enemy, military and civilian, were dead?

The argument provides a good reason for right-thinking UK citizens to want the Tories out of office.

Their reasoning is illogical.
