If the story is true, you may actually agree with Kemi Badenoch on this.
The Tory-verging-on-fascist housing spokesperson has taken umbrage against an alleged Labour plan to redraw constituency boundaries, taking children and immigrants into account.
She reckons this would hand Labour an instant advantage – effectively rigging the electoral system; it would reward parties with MPs in areas with high levels of migration, both legal and illegal – as more parliamentary seats would be allocated to such areas.
And Badenoch insisted that “such areas are, and have historically been, represented by Labour MPs”.

Badenoch’s bugbear is that changing the electoral system in this way would be an incentive to allow higher levels of migration – and she’s against that because, it seems, she can’t stand foreigners.
But here’s the rub: Labour has said Badenoch’s claim “reeks of desperation and is a lie”.
A spokesperson said: “Labour will not change the basis of the boundary review. Kemi Badenoch needs schooling on her new brief.”
There would be no point in including children and immigrants in the number of people included in the size of a voting area – unless there was an intention to give them the vote; it is logical to organise constituencies so they all have (roughly) the same number of voters.
So Badenoch’s concerns might be valid – if true. Labour might be trying to rige the electoral system in its favour. Why include more people in the head count if they won’t actually have a vote?
But the government has said it is not doing what she has suggested.
That’s good to know – and it means we can hold Keir Starmer and his cronies to it.
