Are acne and asthma sufferers to be cannon fodder in Labour’s armed forces?
The new government is to announce that people with these conditions will be allowed in – to tackle a recruitment crisis.
That suggests to This Writer that the politicians are expecting to send the UK’s squaddies into combat and need meat for the grinder.

The current 74,296 aren’t enough, apparently.
It seems “medical reasons” have become the main criteria for rejection in the British Army, with a total of 76,187 applicants disqualified on these grounds – and while people with heart problems, back problems, hearing or vision problems, among other things, will struggle to make the grade, acne and asthma sufferers are the least problematic.
So the question for people with those conditions is: are you really keen to lay down your life for a country that is probably expecting to send you to do that, fairly soon?
