The Middle East is on the verge of a regional war – stoked by the UK’s ally, genocidal Israel.
Why is the UK on the side of an aggressor who is deliberately de-stabilising an entire region of the world?
Only last week a bid by 12 other countries – including allies of Israel – failed to get that country’s leaders to agree a 21-day ceasefire with Hezbollah in Lebanon, in order to reduce the risk of their conflict spreading.
Israeli leaders think they have an advantage over the Muslim paramilitary group, and want to take it as far as they can.

The announcement that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah [pictured] has been killed in an Israeli airstrike against Beirut on Friday (September 27, 2024), that killed six people and injured 91 others, can only encourage Benjamin Netanyahu and his colleagues.
Hezbollah, and its backer Iran, both have missiles that are capable of entering Israel’s airspace and attacking its cities, but the threat of retaliation – not just from Israel but from its backer, the United States – is serious enough to make leaders think very carefully before acting.
Iranian-backed paramilitary forces in Iraq, Syria and Yemen may be less reluctant to act, though.
And if they don’t respond, there will be nothing to stop Israel from attacking again, with further loss of Lebanese life. Officials there say nearly 800 people have been killed by Israeli airstrikes since last Monday, to add to the hundreds who died and were injured the week before.
Israel is rattling the sabre hard and, although Netanyahu continually says he doesn’t want to provoke a wider war, he’s doing everything he can to make one happen. Will he drag the UK into a conflict that we desperately want to avoid?
