These words about Labour from long ago should haunt Starmer now

In the light of the plan to try to shoe-horn sick and disabled people into work, these words about Labour from long ago should haunt Starmer now.
At the time – November 2012 – Ed Miliband [pictured showing both his faces] had been challenged on his comment that people who are unable to work should be separated from those who choose not to work – and again failed to offer any material support for people who are actually unable to work.
It is almost exactly the same attitude as is held by Labour government ministers today.
So the words I wrote then apply equally well now:
The longer the Labour Party refuses to address what is happening to sick and disabled people who can not work in any way currently accepted by an employer, the more people are going to die, either by their own hands or because their conditions are worsened, due to the stress caused by the system as it currently stands.
Nobody – unless they are criminally psychotic – should support this course of inaction.
