Teenagers are running riot in Southampton, breaking into shops, intimidating staff, and stealing whatever they want – with the police admitting there’s little they can do.
The story reminded me of a joke that hits uncomfortably close to reality; I’m not saying people should resort to extreme measures when police say they aren’t available – but I do wonder whether they protest too much about staff shortages and lack of resources…
