Protester hands Theresa May P45 during conference speech
Nothing Theresa May said in her speech will matter now, because a protester handed her a P45 right in the middle of it.
She was in the middle of a load of waffle anyway. Having listed a lot of weak promises for vulnerable people, repeating “That’s what I’m in this for” at the end of each announcement (she’s actually in it for her own personal profit), she went on to the tried-and-tested divide-and-rule tactic, listing people she would define as enemies.
She had moved on to repeat Philip Hammond’s lie about the market economy having improved living standards when the protester struck.
As he was led out of the hall, Mrs May commented that she’d like to hand a P45 to Jeremy Corbyn.
No chance.
After this performance, she’ll be handing Mr Corbyn the keys to 10 Downing Street.
ADDITIONAL: It turns out the protester was comedian Simon Brodkin, known for his comic character Lee Nelson.
He has since tweeted the following:
Hi @BorisJohnson, I gave Theresa her P45 just like you asked. pic.twitter.com/gzW0UluDMv

lol! How long before the penny drops?
What a shambles – a shower of nasty, over-indulged rich people, who can’t bear the thought of not being in power.
Clear before the f fell off the for and the e off the end of everyone. At least there was some amusement in her speech.
Must have been using Strong and stable glue on the board behind her the letter’s fell of, perhap’s they need a esa assessment for fitness to govern, they could be forgiven then, most of them assessments are not fit for purpose
Funny stunt, but unfortunately it has diverted people’s attention from Mrs May’s “mental distress” and her Cabinet’s utter incompetence, thoughtlessness, corruption, greed, ego-mania, deceit and fraud. Surely the worst Cabinet of all time.
