The mark of the leader: Tories make personal insults but Corbyn only gets angry at injustice to others
Here’s an excellent observation on the Jeremy Corbyn ‘heckle’ incident.
This Site reported on the exchange here, and there’s a great follow-up on the Skwawkbox site, as follows. This Writer agrees with all the sentiments expressed below:
Facebook user Lell Gee made a comment that shed a bright light on the significance of Corbyn’s reaction:
For those who can’t read images, Lell Gee wrote: “Isn’t it telling that during all the slurs and verbal assaults on Corbyn personally he never lost his temper, but when he is talking about the British people’s suffering under this current regime he gets angry and passionate? This is a man who genuinely cares about the public and is desperate to help them.”
Corbyn faced lies, slurs, insults, mockery of his clothes and worse from the Tory benches. From right-wing Labour MPs not fit to represent their members, he faced lies, disloyalty, smears, briefing, undermining and an attempt to crush him.
And he didn’t lose his temper once – or even appear close.
But when Tories sneer and dismiss the vulnerable, the put-upon and those discarded by this consciously-cruel government? Then this ensues:
Wow. An angry Jeremy Corbyn lays into Tories uncaring arrogance… #Budget2017 pic.twitter.com/CkM3unRKZi

This is what the UK is crying out for in its leaders – and why Corbyn has the stature and character to be fit for leadership.

Tories have nothing to offer the people of this country other than sneering and offensive insults.
Those that resort to insults have lost the argument. Abuse seems to be the Tories’ raison d’etre these days.
Corbyn travels every week meeting the ordinary people, trade unionists, party members, as well as those in business, politics, the westminster bubble, the media bubble, too. I don’t know how he carries on to be honest, as he hears first hand the hardship and pain of the people.
It is astonishing that he usually contains his anger at what has been done to so many. Yesterday we saw a glimpse of the inner anger. We should all learn from him, and lets be really angry about the injustices and the ideological austerity being used to kill the most needy.
I’m going to join the Labour Day of Action on Saturday – events in town centres across the country, and I hope those who read this will go and find the nearest event to tem, and go along, and support them. I hope word spreads to many hundreds of thousands up and down the country – it’s time for righteous anger, for political pressure to be brought to bear to stop the chequebook euthanasia, and damaging millions of childrens’ health and life chances thought deliberate poverty. .
Amen to that. Can not imagine that jumped up son of old Windbag Kinnock getting het up like that unless it was because his expenses claim had not been paid
There was a good article on the Squackbox earlier on, that I’m sure you’ve read Mike. It really showed the BBC up to be the biased mob we’ve been saying for years. Newsnight showing an old Corbyn speech, pretending it was his response yesterday. Can they sink any lower?
Theres the difference, right there, between the Tory hooray henrys and a man of principle.
A masterpiece… Thank You Mr Corbyn.
Can’t wait to see you as PM Good Luck.
