Humiliation for Tories over insensitive tweets supporting Amber Rudd
Shortly after Amber Rudd resigned as Home Secretary, Mr Hunt tweeted this:
Devastating news for all of us lucky enough to serve with @AmberRuddHR. In cabinet she was always a true statesman who spoke her mind publicly and privately irrespective of the politics. She will be missed until she is back which she will be!
— Jeremy Hunt (@Jeremy_Hunt) April 30, 2018
What a vile threat!
And what a lie. “Spoke her mind publicly and privately irrespective of the politics”? She slavishly followed Theresa May’s racist immigration policy and diverted funds from the police so protection of the law took second place to persecution of the populace.
He got short shrift on the social media:
I like the way Jeremy Hunt focuses his sympathies on the people who’ve lost jobs, health care & even their freedom as a direct consequence of the May/Rudd Home Office’s decisions. https://t.co/9LG35iIBOL

He wasn’t the only one, though.
Very telling that Tories are queuing up to praise Rudd . She a mendacious, corrupt ex-banker, just their type.

Michael Gove got on the bandwagon without realising where it was going, producing this monstrosity:
I’m so sad about Amber’s departure from government – she was a huge asset – brave, principled, thoughtful, humane, considerate and always thinking of the impact of policy on the vulnerable – I hope Amber will be back soon – we need her
— Michael Gove (@michaelgove) April 29, 2018
“Humane”? Tell that to the Windrush Generation who she persecuted brutally.
“Always thinking of the impact of policy on the vulnerable”? Tell that to the Windrush Generation who she persecuted brutally.
And of course a repeat of the vile threat that Ms Rudd may return – one presumes that will happen when the Tories think we’ve forgotten what a filthy liar she is.
So if Rudd is such a beacon of truth and light that must mean the person responsible is Theresa May. https://t.co/gfXfWuSC6s

Really good to see @michaelgove showing such empathy with the *real* victim of the Windrush scandal https://t.co/fGlrwLUyIB

It might have been kinder to forgive Ms Rudd’s brother Roland for his loyal tweet:
So proud of my sister Amber. She is so unselfish, compassionate, kind, trustworthy wish immense integrity. She is motivated by strong sense of public duty and when dust settles will be remembered for being a great Home Secretary in hugely difficult circumstances.
— Roland Rudd (@RolandRudd) April 29, 2018
But he wasn’t:

This should be the last word on the matter:
Question: Who is this Amber Rudd that Tories are describing this morning?, Because it certainly ain't the disgraced former Home Secretary who should be grateful she isn't facing prosecution for Misconduct in Public Office

I would rather see hunt go than Rudd, he really deserves to disappear.
Ha ha, I notice the corrupt and dishonest Hunt recognises a fellow liar. The bigger the embarrassment the better.
They are so devoid of any form of conscience, and decency, that it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see Rudd recycled into another role. After all, they have done that with Graying, after failing in every role, and also McVile.
One would think it impossible that somebody such as Rudd, who has lied to, has deliberately misled the house and nation should ever sit on the front bench again. But she will, she will. But the front bench, led by Mrs May where she herself leads a cabinet of liars – you know who they are: Gove, Johnson, Fox, Grayling, to blame but a few. Then there’s Green and his other sacked mates just biding their time until their return to the front bench, the place where, of course, they were born to be.
The place from which they were born to be sacked.
And they’ll never make it back to the front bench if we vote the Tories out before they have the chance.
What’s disturbing is the thousands of like these tosspots got for their drooling sycophancy. Even two thousand Tories shows that no matter how useless they are, there are always people ugly enough inside to ignore their crimes against the nation..
I can feel a smidgin of sympathy for Rudd, because she has taken the blame for May’s horrible, racist policies. But, she lied, quite deliberately about what she knew and didn’t know and has taken the consequences. May lied about the same things, but remains in office. She should, had the the principles and decency she claims, as a clergyman’s daughter, go, too. May has a track record going back to her days at the Home Office, of sacking people for implementing her policies. Even Rees Mugg says that people who deliberately mislead the house: i.e. by lying to it, should go.
I see Roland Rudd has a tweet. Is he, by any chance, related to Roland Rat?
