The UK has recorded more Covid-19 deaths in a single day than the entire EU. How is this success?

Read it and weep.

Yesterday (June 4), the UK recorded more Covid-19-related deaths – in hospital alone – than all 27 EU countries put together.

Yet members of the Conservative government keep claiming that their policies are a huge success!

Are they saying their policy is to kill more of their own population than any other country in the world?

That seems the logical conclusion…

The 3 other administrations in the UK shouldn’t be excluded from blame either

Their figures are much lower – although admittedly I haven’t done research on whether they are proportionately lower.

“Are they saying their policy is to kill more of their own population than any other country in the world?”
    Yes.
They know full well that collapse is coming:
    https://medium.com/insurge-intelligence/uk-government-backed-scientific-model-flags-risk-of-civilisation-s-collapse-by-2040-4d121e455997

so in their warped minds the best hope for their survival is to wipe out as much of the competition as possible. Or at least the “useless mouths” so that they don’t have to bother feeding those that can’t be put to slave labour camps. So your children, your grannies, the disabled relative, the homeless, the sick, all are highly deletable.

Can you show me evidence in their actions that contradict this line of reasoning?
Why would you slaughter 130,000 British citizens between 2010 and 2016 otherwise?
Why would you end free public transport for 11-16 yo in London, but take £100,000,000 to build another fecking Royal Yacht?
Why would you not bother stockpiling PPE when you can spend the money instead on dodgy data-collection companies?:
    https://bylinetimes.com/2020/05/20/dominic-cummings-billion-dollar-brainchild/
Why make UC and PIP tests?
And why, despite only growing 50% of our food, are the new agriculture and environment bills not doing anything to increase that percentage, despite the now-proven risks to the “just-in-time” supply system? 50% population reduction anyone?
    Etc, etc.
If you look at from this point of view, all the actions of the coalition and Tories since 2010 make sense. It’s not incompetent buffoonery, it’s deliberate, calculated mass murder.

Mike, where does this 359 figure come from? What source?

      The UK government.

I think that it is noticeable how reporting has changed since the election. Before the election, the anti-Corbyn stuff, not just about anti-semitism, was deafening! His very sanity was questioned.
Labour’s manifesto was regarded as too expensive/unbelievable/extreme etc.
But now, when Labour is safely in opposition, some TV and newspaper reporters can get quite investigative, showing real concern about class and racial inequalities in Britain. I don’t doubt that many documentaries are in the pipeline and will reveal really shocking stats about how many people in Britain are struggling to survive. And how some areas are devastated by economic woes.
But they won’t acknowledge their role in making sure that the only genuine attempt to deal with these problems , Corbyn’s Labour, was comprehensively trashed by the very organisations that are now doing the stories that give us a hint of the grim state of British society.
Much of the media is like the Right of the Labour Party, bemoaning the unfairness of society but retreating from actually doing anything serious about it!
