If you’re not shocked by these facts about our firefighters… – Pride’s Purge

Tom Pride has written a short – but sharp – article about the current firefighters’ industrial dispute.

This matter has been covered by Vox Political previously so there’s no intention of rehashing the arguments here at the moment.

However, if you wish to refresh your own memory, take a look at Tom’s article on Pride’s Purge.

  1. Thanks for sharing this Mike. Excellent article by Tom (as was yours).

The petition currently has just over 13,000 signatures. I’m sure your post will encourage more people to sign and share.

Also, the Labour party have tabled Early Day Motion 454 regarding the Coalition governments attack on firefighters’ pensions.

You can see which MPs have signed it here http://www.parliament.uk/edm/2014-15/454

To date 260 MPs have signed. However, the target to have it debated in the House of Commons is 326 by 11 December.

I urge everyone who reads this to see if their MP has signed. If they haven’t then please lobby them to do so before 11 December.
