Pressure builds on Theresa May to resign in run-up to Tory local election disaster

Theresa May and her party were the butts of ridicule as the last days of campaigning for this year’s local elections got under way.

Disgraced serial liar Amber Rudd has come under the spotlight after she resigned as Home Secretary late yesterday evening:

But commentators were clear that she is not the only one who should take the blame:

While we may hope this is true because it will mean the end of Mrs May, we should fear what it implies for the people of the UK.

Ms Rudd was the fifth cabinet minister to resign within six months, and commentators were quick to point out the meaning of it:

And there are questions about the behaviour of other Conservative ministers:

If he knew Ms Rudd was lying, then Mr Gove needs to quit his job too.

But the main focus has to be Theresa May.

She received a letter from Amber Rudd in January 2017, promising a 10 per cent increase in enforced removals.

When the Windrush scandal broke, Mrs May must have known that her government had imposed a racist system that inflicted inhumane treatment on British citizens, denied them medical treatment, imprisoned & deported them – and she said nothing.

As I have stated before, this means that when Ms Rudd lied to us all that there were no removal targets, Theresa May knew she was lying.

When Ms Rudd lied to us all that she had not been aware there were removal targets, Theresa May knew she was lying.

When both Ms Rudd and Mrs May said they were ending the forced deportation of the so-called Windrush Generation of immigrants from the Commonwealth who came to the UK and became citizens of this country from 1948 onwards, Theresa May knew they were lying.

Theresa May devised the racist policy that allows these deportations to take place.

Theresa May is responsible for the “hostile environment”.

Theresa May pushed it through Parliament.

Theresa May set the original deportation targets.

Theresa May allowed the policy to continue, despite hearing advice that it would harm UK citizens.

And Theresa May signed off the destruction of the Windrush landing papers that made it impossible for the Windrush Generation immigrants to prove they had a right to live in the UK.

Now it is time for Theresa May to tell the truth – that she is ultimately responsible for harming thousands upon thousands of UK citizens with a racist policy of persecution. And then she must resign.

Never, in all my 72 years, have I seen such a nasty, corrupt, dishonest and incompetent government. Hopefully the pressure will remain on May to go next because I sense the whole lot will fall like a pack of cards.
