EU elections: Conservatives deliver two clear reasons NOT to vote for them

Michael Heseltine: Because of Tory policy on Brexit, he’ll be voting Liberal Democrat.

Like many UK political organisations, the Conservatives are currently very busy delivering reasons not to support them in the European Parliament elections this week.

Here’s Michael Heseltine, a former deputy leader of the Conservative Party:

Tory grandee Michael Heseltine has said he will not be supporting the Conservatives in the European elections and will instead vote for the Liberal Democrats.

The former deputy prime minister and lifelong pro-European said the party has become “infected by the virus of extremism” and he cannot endorse its support for leaving the EU.

At the other end of the spectrum, here’s Boris Johnson – who wants to be the leader of the Conservative Party, and therefore prime minister – squirming as he tries to defend his integrity in the face of evidence of his own former behaviour:

Together they make an excellent case for putting your cross next to a candidate who isn’t a Tory. Agreed?

The Daily Express Friday 11th May said Michael Heseltine gets paid 90K pa land grant from the EU for his 7,000 acre Hampshire estate. At 640 acres to the square mile he owns about 11 square miles so he receives roughly 8K per square mile per year.

No wonder he doesn’t want Brexit; if the UK government has to pay landowner welfare benefits directly instead of indirectly through the EU, this will expose for all Britons to see the huge sums they receive at the same time the poor are being brutally starved.

If that’s your reason for not wanting to vote Conservative, I’m fine with it.
