Swinson lied again about Jeremy Corbyn and the responses should bury her career

Jo Swinson: A recent Liberal Democrat campaign stated “Bollocks to Brexit”. As this image shows the last two words may be removed to show what the Lib Dems are talking now.

Jo Swinson keeps trying to get us to listen to her lies about Jeremy Corbyn – and she keeps getting what she deserves in return.

The latest idiocy from the leader of the party soon to be known as the Lib Dims is a claim that Mr Corbyn – one of the most active campaigners for remaining in the EU during the run-up to the referendum in 2016 – didn’t campaign to remain.

The responses were – well, see for yourself:

Supporters of Ms Swinson’s lie were given short shrift too.

Ms Swinson soon disappeared beneath a mountain of evidence.

Even Liberal Democrats have started to turn against Ms Swinson:

(And if you want to see her voting record, read it here.)

It will be hard for the Liberal Democrats to come back from this blatant lie with any credibility for her campaign to undermine Mr Corbyn.

She could give up now, and get behind his plan for a vote of ‘no confidence’ in Boris Johnson and his ‘no deal’ Brexit.

Or she could make way for a Liberal Democrat leader who will.

She knows, now, that what she can’t do is lie about Jeremy Corbyn.

I’m beyond exasperated by the nonsense, first peddled by the Blairite faction of the £abour Party, after the Referendum, that, somehow, our voting to leave the E.U. was the fault of Jeremy Corbyn! How was people making a democratic decision his FAULT? It suggests that he had so much influence over us that he is, in fact, running the country from the Opposition benches, pretending to be in Opposition! He saw to it that none of us was capable of reaching our own conclusions, perhaps he threatened our families? I’m sure that I saw him in my Ward, following people into the polling booth; perhaps he put the cross in the box for them? He must have moves like Santa Claus. He’s an incredibly clever man, that Jeremy Corbyn! Utter foolishness and people need to stop repeating it! Next, they’ll be saying that he shot J.F.K.!

“She knows, now, that what she can’t do is lie about Jeremy Corbyn.” The blatant truth doesn’t seem to have stopped many people from lying about him, for YEARS! There’ll be another story, soon and in a year, or so, this one will be recycled, as it has been, now.

Swinson is a blithering idiot, she’s gone beyond grasping at straws and with every attempt at scraping the already empty barrel her Right wing leanings become evermore transparent.

I grew up in a Liberal household. My father stood as a Liberal councillor while I was a Young Liberal. However that was during the late 1960s. My own political stance was like my father: middle-of-the road. Sadly then the Liberals shacked up with the SDP then everything went downhill.

Given that British politics have swerved to the hard right, Jeremy Corbyn is more middle-the-road than the Lib Dems under Swinson. Far from being a closet Marxist he’s a Social Democrat. Basically the same politics as Old Gravel Voice (Harold Wilson). Wilson was in power during that fantastic decade the ’60s. He also held power during the ’70s.

I’ve recently joined the Labour Party so I put my money where my mouth is.

Life certainly seemed better in the 60s under Harold Wilson, Pete. We didn’t have the internet in those days of course, or even a phone or colour tv in our house until the mid-70s, no double glazing or central heating, and the toilet was in the back yard, but we didn’t have any foodbanks, and wages were enough to live on, and my dad changed jobs when he felt like it because they were plentiful, no CVs or Jobcentres, you just asked for a job and they said yes start tomorrow.
