‘Pathway to a possible deal’? Johnson gave in to the EU, same as Davis and May

Quitters: Both Theresa May and now Boris Johnson seem to have given up and let the EU have its way.

Apparently Boris Johnson and Irish prime minister Leo Varadkar have found a “pathway to a possible deal” after wandering the grounds of Thornton Manor in Cheshire.

After weeks with no movement, it’s an interesting change. But it has sparked speculation of a certain form.

My question is, how fast did Johnson cave in?

David Davis folded like a cocktail umbrella.

Theresa May, who said the naughtiest thing she ever did was run through a wheat field, crumbled like the chaff on a summer threshing-floor.

How long did it take the latest chump to throw in the towel?

Not long, I reckon.

And he came back to unrest among his own camp followers, if the rumours are to be believed.

We’re told Dominic Cummings has been working hard for a “no deal” Brexit, in which case he may well believe Mr Johnson has betrayed him.

As the Skwawkbox suggested, Mr Cummings may be finding out that “Johnson’s inability to follow a plan or a script applies just as much to him as to anyone”.

Just to note that, whatever snobs may claim, this place is in Merseyside not Cheshire. It’s a few miles from Birkenhead.

I’m not sure. I used to work on the Wirral, based in Birkenhead and I’m sure my area did not include Thornton Hough. It was just over into Cheshire. I agree about the “snobbery” aspect of it all, though. Some people would give their right-arm for a Cheshire address rather than Merseyside.
Then again, my work did not include the kind of people who live in Thornton Hough so I may simply have no record of ever having to go there.
All I know is that the sight of the ERG or Dominic Cummings crying “betrayal” would be pure joy for me,no matter what side of the County border I find myself!

Thornton Hough is in Merseyside. I lived a couple of miles away in Parkgate which is just in Cheshire. The “border” is just down B5136 Liverpool Road towards Neston which is also in Cheshire.

I used to live just a couple of miles from Thornton Hough in Wirral. What have they done to be infested with Dictator Johnson?

Could there be some very worried disaster capitalists tonight considering taking out a contract on de Piffle? 😉
