Covid-19 deaths: Corbyn would have done so much better. The media double-standards are shocking
Here is much of the problem with UK politics, rolled up in a single tweet:

It’s applicable to any situation but very clear at the moment because Boris Johnson has failed so badly and 100,000 people are dead as a result.
Jeremy Corbyn, who was vilified by the press, would have acted differently. We know exactly how, because he told us. See for yourself:

He also said this:
Yes, Jeremy Corbyn would have done better. March 2020:
“Generations to come will look back on this moment and judge us on the actions we take now.
Our response must be bold & it must be decisive.”

But the general public had been hoodwinked by the Tory press into thinking he was a menace.
And now?
This is still happening:

But it seems the tide is turning:
I'd like to hear from any of the blue-tick Corbyn-hate brigade if they genuinely and sincerely believe Johnson's grotesque carnage is better than a Corbyn-led government would have been.
Seriously, I mean.

And:
Corbyn was right.
Corbyn is right.
Anyone who says he would have been worse than Johnson is welcome to borrow some of my medication.— Jules #FreeAssange #FreePalestine🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 (@celtjules66) January 27, 2021
This Writer is willing to wager that a lot of mainstream media hacks should be mainlining Ms Harrington’s medication.
Have YOU donated to my crowdfunding appeal, raising funds to fight false libel claims by TV celebrities who should know better? These court cases cost a lot of money so every penny will help ensure that wealth doesn’t beat justice.

To be perfectly honest, my 7-year-old nephew could probably have done better. What I don’t understand however is, given how much time has passed and what we all now know, why so many more people are dying? I said, back in March, last year, that whatever the government says, or does, it requires it to trust the people to do it. There was evidence of this not happening within 5 days of the Prime Minister announcing our first “lockdown.” Sadly, this trend has continued, aided and abetted by political commentators and irresponsible media.
Why the government is still not taking a firmer line explaining the basics ad nauseam and telling us what it doesn’t know, I don’t know. Hands. Face. Space. is a catchy slogan but some ministers parrot it with, evidently, no understanding of what it actually means. Why people are not doing what is necessary to protect themselves, I don’t know. One would have to be living under a rock not to know what is happening and how to behave.
As much as the government has made a pretty pig’s ear of this, especially given how much is known, the bigger fault now lies with the people, for we shouldn’t need to be told what to do, now, not after nearly a year. 20 people at a baby shower? 300 people at a rave? 400 at a wedding? This is why people will die and they will die. What part of that people don’t understand I know not.
I’m not sure what even a competent government can do, now. I was confounded, then frustrated, now I’m angry. Media people asking stupid unanswerable questions, selfish people, politicians evading accountability… the whole thing is a mess and sadly, I don’t trust any party, in that House, to see us through this. My fear is that it is already too late but unless and until everybody understands that it is we, the people, who are spreading this thing and that we need to modify our behaviour, until we are through this, we will be stuck here, until we have achieved herd immunity.
Stay safe, everybody. I know that this is hard but it won’t be forever. Sadly, the longer people continue to behave selfishly, the longer it will be before we’re through this.
DUH!!!! Only a raving Tory moron could possibly make any case that Bozo has now killed 100,00 people with incompetence and arrogance is doing a good job.
FFS stop believing lies parroted from the right-wing hate media and use your own ossified brain to see a compassionate intelligent man whould have never made the mistakes or ignored the pandemic like bozo did.
