#Police will be asked to investigate Parliamentary #drug use. We know what they’ll say!
The Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, has announced that he will ask the Metropolitan Police to investigate cocaine use in Parliament:
There are going to be a few very upset MPs I would imagine. 🙂

Apparently all but one of 12 lavatory areas in Parliament that were tested showed traces of cocaine.
That’s all very well, but we know what the answer will be, after Cressida Dick’s response to complaints about the Downing Street Christmas party of December 18, 2020:
The Met say in relation to the Downing St Christmas party that they don’t investigate crimes retrospectively.
That is literally the only way you can investigate crimes.— Nick Pettigrew (@Nick_Pettigrew) December 4, 2021
It turns out that Met Commissioner Cressida Dick herself previously said the Met had many retrospective investigations on the go:
"In the police we have some huge retrospective investigations and reviews to service"
So, looks like the Met Police are in the habit of looking at crimes committed in the past
Because you said so yourself, DICK.#no10christmasparty #DickOut #metpolicehttps://t.co/ShpQdPHyqr

But that was a while ago. Clearly the new less-than-one-year limitation on investigating crime retrospectively came in after 2017.
Funny that none of us ever heard of it, though…
Still, we know the answer Hoyle will hear – right?
So the Met Police won’t be investigating druggie MPs.
If it does launch a probe, then the failure to investigate the Downing Street party will be a serious breach of procedure. But we know that already, too – right?

The police are as corrupt as the politicians…Nothing will be done to hold MPs to account for their corrupt and criminal activity!
It will probably end up being classified s “No Crime” In my day senior officers were always urging investigators to record an allegation of crime as “No Crime”. because this would reflect better on their CV’s for further promotion.
I was replaced as officer in charge of Beat Crime Investigation because I refused to accept “No Crime allegation when the opposite was the truth. No consideration was given to the fact that, under my watch, arrests increased due to proper investigation and supervision.
That is why I am always sceptical regarding statistics..
