Keir Starmer promises ‘national renewal’ under Labour. How’s he going to fund it?

Last Updated: January 9, 2023By Tags: , , , , ,

Keir Starmer’s first major speech of the year promised a decade of “national renewal” – but he said Labour would not spend money to achieve this.

How is it going to happen then?

Challenged on it, he said he’d get rid of non-dom tax exemptions and stop private schools having charity status as well. That raises around £4.5 billion – which is a tiny fraction of the £180 billion NHS budget alone.

So what’s the point of a Labour government that won’t spend more than the Tories to build an economy that can actually grow?

All he could offer was waffle. But then, who believes anything he says, anyway? He used to oppose HS2 but now he wants to take it further than the Tories were planning.

There is no way on this planet can Starmer be believed or trusted…..his policies are not worth the paper they are written on! He is a total disgrace and has brought the Parliamentary labour party into total disrepute!

Starmer’s sole agenda is to kill off Labour, replace it with a Neo-Liberal business friendly government, and carry on where the Tories left off, just like Blair did. Businesses have had every incentive known to man, yet still holds out for more tax cuts, greed rules and its paid servants hand out juicy government contracts for them to feast on at our expense.

Only yesterday, Streeting made it clear that private hospitals will be used to get the waiting lists down, again another Blair project, only it won’t get them down because when the private sector has treated them with NHS doctors the patients are left in NHS beds, to recover etc., whilst the profits are sucked out of the NHS budget denuding the NHS’s chances of ever recovering, what’s more he knows it. But when you are sponsored by private health companies and health hedge funds what do we expect.
