Braverman in Rwanda for propaganda junket; praises decor of homes for UK refugees
Suella Braverman arrives in Rwanda: what a pity she isn’t being forced to stay there.
The thought of sending vulnerable, homeless fellow human beings to Rwanda , a country with a record of horrendous human rights violations and the Home Secretary in Rwanda , glorifying a deal , seems like just a terrible nightmare from which I will awake . Yet here we are.

Yes, here we are – and there she was: Suella Braverman has indeed been on a propaganda-fuelled junket to Rwanda, where homes are being built for the couple of hundred “migrants” (also known as asylum-seekers or refugees) into the UK that the African country has agreed to accommodate.

The clip makes the very good point that the Tory government’s attempts to send people over to Rwanda – which has a very poor human rights record – are mired in legal challenges.

Does anybody really think Braverman wanted the name of the Rwanda homes interior designer?
Neither do I. If she was given it, I expect her to have binned it – which is exactly what she is planning to do to any asylum-seekers and refugees who are unlucky enough to be sent there.

All those ‘wonderful buildings’ are in fact for the use of elite Rwandan citizens not refugees!
Our taxes are being spent by the fascist tories on yet more worthless propaganda when all this money should be used to provide real aid and financial support to the many impoverished and hungry refugee women, children and men!
The whole thing is disgusting. Could you imagine if this was for refugees from Ukraine. I doubt the media would be so cock-a-hoop over it
I don’t imagine that the refugees will be given this housing shown and for what it is costing us in taxes it certainly doesn’t look like money well spent.
Everyone & his auntie knows the situation in Rwanda so the real point is to let the migrants coming here that relocation to this hot spot of human rights abuse is where they will likely end up in order to discourage them from coming here.
If I were a migrant I would certainly not want to land in a country that shows so little regard for human beings or their rights.
