Here’s how Israel’s mouthpieces are spinning the ICJ ruling – and how to debunk it
Spokespeople for the Israeli government and military are trying to claim that the International Court of Justice found in that country’s favour because it did not support a ceasefire between Israel and Gaza but instead called on Israel to cease any activities that may possibly correspond to definitions of genocide:
Elon Levy is a caricature. Love that he's trying to spin an ICJ ruling on genocide as a "reminder of Israel's international obligations". Speaking like the judges are Israel's legal consultants https://t.co/RJpZTGNfpk

Note that Israel’s liar-in-chief, Eylon Levy, claimed that the ICJ called for Israel to abandon any rescue of the hostages taken by Hamas on October 7 last year. This is a lie. The ICJ made a very clear demand for the hostages to be returned to Israel, safe and well.
The International Court of Justice in The Hague REJECTS South Africa’s request for Israel to be ordered to introduce an unilateral ceasefire in Gaza as part of the provisional measures

So there you have it: Israel’s spokespeople and mouthpieces want you to think the ICJ ruling was a victory for them.
The fact is different. Here’s how you debunk the claims of these distortionists:
A “ceasefire” is what you demand in an armed conflict. In a genocide you demand an immediate end to all genocidal acts and that is exactly what the ICJ ordered with immediate effect. Please stop helping “Israel” spin its historic defeat as a win.

Indeed. Please spread this response as widely as you find necessary to combat the falsehood.

I assume that all Tories lie all of the time, that went double for Boris. I also assume that everything that comes from an Israeli spokesman is a lie. It probably won’t be too long before I add the Labour Party to the list, it’s certainly heading that way!
