The face of Britain is changing back to the ugliness and dirt of industrial times
The latest clip from Gary Stevenson is a grim affair, documenting the UK’s regression to the days when money was concentrated in the big cities, and working people had to leave country towns and villages in order to earn a bare living.
Those days are back:
It’s a little different now – the Internet means some of us can live wherever we want and still make a decent living.
But it also means shops and businesses in the smaller towns and villages cannot remain economically viable.
The cash is being concentrated in the hands of the extremely rich again, with the collusion of the government.
The country will end up looking like Colombia, or India, or another such state – with huge cities whose glittering centres are surrounded by rotting slums.
The answer is to tax the rich so the property comes back into public hands and the people are able to stay in their pretty villages and smaller towns.
The UK is changing, yes – but it doesn’t have to change as much as the rich would have us believe. Their cause is not our own.
