Irish prime minister demands ceasefire by Israeli forces in Gaza

Ireland has set itself apart from western countries by openly denouncing Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Here’s new Taoiseach Simon Harris making it clear that the Irish Republic is “repulsed” by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s actions, and demanding a ceasefire:

We should all be sending this clip to Keir Starmer and – more importantly – Rishi Sunak, saying, “Do you see how easy it is to denounce war crimes and genocide? Why is it so hard for the UK to do the same? Is it because you are profiting from the mass murder of Palestinians? Isn’t it time to wash some of that blood off your hands?”

It probably won’t help. But at least it would make them aware that they’re wrong.
