The Tories have made another NHS election pledge we can’t believe, saying they will build 100 new GP surgeries.
Before we go any further at all, can you remember another Tory NHS pledge, the fulfilment of which we are still awaiting?
Where are those 40 new hospitals they pledged to build in their 2019 election manifesto?

Granted, the plan was to build them by 2030, but one would expect them to have at least started on some of them by now.
This Writer hasn’t heard of any. And refurbishing a wing of an existing hospital or adding a terrapin to one really doesn’t count.
Knowing this, we don’t need to hear anything about how the Tories would use these fictional new GP surgeries or how they propose to fund them; it’s not going to happen.
So don’t believe it; just count it as the first big lie of what are likely to be many in the run-up to July 4.
